Product Description

Make 4 Pillar Candles with this easy to use kit - new lower price!

This is probably the easiest of all our moulded candles to make and one of the most satisfying. Perfect for you to create your own candles, perfect as a gift.

With this kit, you can make 4 pillar candles, each of which stands 10cm (4 inches) high and 6cm (2.5 inches) across the base. They are perfect as a centrepiece for your dinner table or mantelpiece or as a gorgeous way to spread one of the lovely optional scents around the house. And they burn for up to 40 HOURS! Each!

You can choose either standard paraffin wax or ecosoya wax depending on the effect you want. Paraffin wax produces a lovely, translucent, candle with a strong colour. Ecosoya candles, on the other hand, tend to produce pastel colours when used with dye - they can also be made without dye entirely, for a nice ivory effect. We find the eco-soya easier to release from the mould and to produce more pleasing results so we've set that as the default choice.

If you want to produce scented candles, we offer a range of candle making scents that are discounted if you buy as part of this kit - choose from above.

The kit contains:

  • Long life plastic mould
  • 20g dye
  • 900g (almost 2lbs!) Pillar Blend wax
  • 1 metre (3 feet+) Eco Wick
  • Wick holder
  • Mould sealer
  • Illustrated instructions

This is one of our favourite kits -we hope you enjoy making these candles as much as we do!

  3. Lovely Packaging

Recieved in good order. Great packaging. 100% service from Peta. Not had time yet to start making the candles but I'm sure they will turn out fantastic. Also, the free rose scent ordered is absolutely divine smelling. V. strong so go easy when adding.

  4. So Pleased

Posted by Jen on 2nd Feb 2013

I brought this kit and have so far made two pillar candles. i am so pleased with the kit and think it was excellent value for money. It was wrapped so beautifully in pink tissue paper, which was a lovely touch.

I picked the blue dye and have to say I am so glad with my choice. The colour blue varies so much dependant on how much you use at a time (from a rich blue to a creamy pale blue) it really is like having more than one colour dye in one. I picked a lavender scent and it smells gorgeous.

I will definitely be coming back to buy more refills and more lovely colours and scents.

Great hobby and so easy to do.

  5. Great.

Really pleased and very pleasantly suprised at how easily the candle slipped from the mould when set.I have given the first candle away as a Christmas present and it was very well recieved

  7. Very simple but you may get addicted

  8. good

Posted by Unknown on 15th Oct 2012

The kit is great and the finished candles are a good size. However when the candle is burned it does get a bit messy

  9. Easy to follow instructions

Posted by Alison on 4th Oct 2012

Very nice kit, easy to use and the instructions are easy to follow. Candles burn really nicely.
It lost a star because holding back some wax to top up later as instructed left me with a slightly different coloured stripe round the bottom. Not sure why.
    Otherwise it is great.

Note from MYOC - this problem is usually caused by pouring the two sections of wax at a different temperature. A thermometer helps when candle making as it allows the wax in the second/third 'top up' pours to be made at the same temperature as the original.

Definitely easy to use. Made Pillar candles last night and the instructions are so easy to follow. Fantastic kit.
