"Cup of Tea" Candlemaking Micro Kit
Product Description
This kit contains everything you need (except an old tea cup and a couple of old saucepans) to make a tea coloured container candle. This is the ideal way to have a go at candle making at very low expense.
Candle making offers you the enjoyment both of making the candles and then savouring their soothing light for up to 20 hours per candle. Or, of course, you might want to make them as gifts, for charity fund raising or, even, as the first step into your own candle making business.
This kit contains:
- 150g Blended Paraffin Wax
- Wick
- Metal Wick Tab
- Tea-coloured Dye (Fudge)
- Full instructions
All you need to supply is a small, heat -proof container such as an old tea cup or small jar, plus a couple of old saucepans for melting the wax in.
Note: tea-cup not included! To keep costs down, this product comes in a plastic bag which is then put in a jiffy bag for posting.

What a great start

I have always been wanting to make my own candles, and when I saw this offer I thought why not give it a go. It is fantastic and has really got me hooked. I am disabled and have time on my hand and to do something which is so interesting is great, and the candles makes ideal gifts for all your friends and family. Brilliant. Thank you.

I bought this kit as a taster to try candle making, and enjoyed it so much, I'm hooked!
The kit came in a clear plastic bag, though it might have been easier to use if the wax was packed separately to save tipping everything out to find the wick and wick tab.
The instructions were clear and easy to follow, though I wouldn't recomend using scissors to pinch the wick tab - pliers would be preferable.
The end result looks great too!

I received this kit for free as part of the promotion that if you joined the mailing list you would receive a code for this. The postage and packaging would be a little expensive if this was the only thing that you were getting but as I was ordering another item it was quite reasonable. The kit itself was quite basic and came in a clear plastic bag with the wax loose in the bag. It would be better if this was in a separate bag to stop having to fish for the wick etc in the wax.
Additional equipment that is required to make these and is not specified on the website (but are listed on the instructions) is a spoon to stir the wax, pliers to close the tab on the base and essential oil if you wish to add it.
The instructions were very clear and simple to follow. The candles have to be poured in 3 stages with time for cooling between these so it took about 20 minutes over 3 hours from to finish these. The end product looks very charming and will make a lovely birthday present for later this month. I’m certainly going to be making more of these using the other candle making kit that I bought.
